Patchstar was escorted quickly into the empty Medicine Cat den, the dark gray tom looking at her with worried eyes. "What's wrong, Patchstar?" he asked, obviously concerned.
Patchstar flicked her tail to tell the tom to calm down. "Relax. I was just in the forest and I believe StarClan is trying to tell me something. I think you should take a trip to the Moon Tree tonight. I can have Quietbrook and Swanstep help out around camp if I need them to."
"Okay." Breezepaw mewed, and began gathering herbs. "Do I need to take a warrior with me?"
"Sure, who do you want?" Patchstar mewed. The medicine cat didn't hesitate.
"Spiceshadow, or Jadesnow."
Soon, the two toms were on their way. Spiceshadow laughed happily with his foster brother, telling stories of his apprenticeship and embellishing the size of his catches. Breezepaw enjoyed the warrior's company, remembering when they were younger. They talked more frequently then.

Another calming day at camp. The warriors and apprentices had returned from their training, most of them still sopping wet from being in the river. A bunch of the returning cats chatted excitedly about their adventures in the river, others complained about their fur needing a good cleaning.

"Here, kids. I'll tell you a fun story. Do you want to hear about the time that I first joined the Clans?"
The kittens nodded, some still shaking from the earlier story.
"Well....back when I was just a young tomcat...
"Star, your eyes are like two crystal-clear pools!"
"My eyes are amber," Starfire, the gray-and-white she-cat snapped, obviously unamused by the compliment.
"Pools of...honey!" Wolfie quickly righted himself, silently cursing himself that he didn't notice before. To avoid showing his embarrassment, he lifted a leg and began scratching himself behind the ear.
"Why do you do that?" Charlie asked, his powerful muscles rippling under his firey pelt as he padded up to the other two cats.
Wolfie's hindleg paused mid-scratch. "
